Officer Green visits CKA Students

Officer David Green, father of Kyle (2nd grade), Megan (5th grade) and Connor (6th grade), came to school to talk to the students. He clocked the students' to see how fast they could run. To our amazement, some clocked at twelve miles an hours. That's pretty fast for a first grader.

Parents of CKA are involved in many ways at the school. It is especially wonderful to have a parent come and share with the students how God is using them in our community. And, it means so much to the children to see parents take an interest in them at school.

We appreciate all our parents and thank them for their support!

"Twins Have Double the Talent"

John and Owen Votroubek, sixth graders in Mrs. Ladner's class, made the Poulsbo news. Their artistic abilities have amazed their classmates, teachers, and family. Since Kindergarten, it has been apparent that they think creatively. God has truly blessed them.

Check out the article and more of their art work at Poulsbo Life. See their Mayan temple and three mast ship sketch.

Homework can be expected beginning with Kindergarten. We feel homework is beneficial for three reasons:

  1. It teaches responsibility and good study habits.
  2. It exposes the family to the assignments and textbooks.
  3. It allows the student and class to progress at a more rapid rate.
