Athletics

After-school athletics are available to junior high students. However, for one month in the spring the 5th and 6th grade students may join boys' or girls' basketball. Christ the King Academy is on a local Christian school league and the students play schools in Kitsap County.

This is a time of training for our 5th and 6th graders. Many of them have never played ball before.  Head coach, Nick Gilman, does an excellent job of preparing the athletes, training them and improving their skills. Students are prepared to continue in competitive sports in junior high.

A fee is charged to be on the team. Fees cover transportation, referees, and other costs associated with the sport. The medical release signed at the beginning of the year is taken with the students on each trip. At the beginning of each season, the student will sign a sports participation agreement outlining their expectations.
